Does anyone know where Stratton's Butchers was on this road?
Salhouse Equestrian Centre was at 23 Lower Street1. Redevelopment of Site Including Demolition and Conversion and New Build to Create Six Dwellings and Garaging 2. Change of Use of Agricultural Land to Residential Use 3. Alterations to Access 2005 yes that's the one there were lots of little businesses in Salhouse then Stattons butchers later took over by David Teager next to that was the milk bottle recovery site where empty milk bottles were sterilsed for reuse next to the post office Dutchie Groom repaired bicycles he was an amazing bloke he had no fingers I don't know how he lost them but it never stopped him holding his spanners I can't remember the other pub in Salhouse but there was two at one time when I was a young Jack and Betty Hollingsworth were landlords of the Bell lovely couple they used to let us have

The little white house next to The Bell pub used to be the village shop and a hairdressers run by Mr & Mrs Coe the little cottage used to be the hair dressers run by Mr & Mrs Coe until the gave up the shops and then turned their home and shop into a lovely B&B and holiday cottage Mr Coe took wedding photos and above the room nearest the drive he used that as a photo studio to do family photos exelent for send pictures as Christmas gifts the hair dressers on lowers Street used to be a butchers shop and prima Rosa used to be our post office and another little shop hope this fill-in some gapes
