This building was erected by Norwich Electric Tramways Ltd at the turn of the last century and used as their main depot and maintenance facility. It later passed to Eastern Counties upon acquisition of that business in December 1933 and was utilised as a store for newly delivered vehicles awaiting certification and for withdrawn vehicles awaiting disposal to (in the vast majority of cases) dealer, Ben Jordan of Coltishall. The facility remained in use until the mid 1980s, when the building was demolished and the site sold for residential development.
