Laundry Lane, Thorpe St Andrew
12 Laundry Lane - Co-Op
Used to a pub. Was The Lord Mancoft and The Mill House opeend by Dieter Brummer from Home and Away.
Became MILL HOUSE from Friday 21st July1995 grand re-opening following a £400,000 refurbishment.
Name change due to owners claiming that the Lord Mancroft had such a poor reputation that it would have been an error of judgement not to have signalled the change with a new name.

This used to be Pound lane Stores in the 60’s and was a mini supermarket grocery shop that was built when the Eastern Avenue / Close / Crescent bungalows we’re built circa 1950’s. It was run by Mick and his assistant Iris.
In the 70s it was a large grocery, haberdashery and ironmongery shop covering the whole bottom floor area.
In the 80's it was Arden Home Centre selling Winchmore Kitchens who also had another branch at 6 Vicarage Street, North Walsham
In the early 90's it was a shop called catalogue lines that sold “seconds” clothes with slight defaults that the big catalogue companys could not sell. It was run by Diane Ramsbottom. Next door was Budgie's Cut Price Footware
At other times it has been a Mace or Spar shop, a video rental shop and a tropical fish shop.
