Atlantic Avenue
The old entrance to Sprowston Manor
Bernard Hagon
The old entrance to Sprouston Manor was roughly where the roundabout is now. There was an avenue of trees leading down to sprowston Hall. Just at the end of this avenue as it meets the mansion. There was 3 Trees planted by the Sir Charles Corbet Family and Oliver Cromwell. To celebrate the death of Charles the first king of England. As for the school being at the top of the driveway I did not know this. I worked at Sprouston Manor for 25 years and studied its history as concierge. A beautiful old building long may it stand preserving its history
